Data Protection and Child Protection Policies

IMPORTANT:
Data Protection
The Festival complies with the principles embodied in General Data Protection Regulations.  All information supplied to us will be held securely and used only by authorised personnel, solely for the purposes of Festival administration; it will never be shared with any third parties.  Only names (no contact details) are printed in our syllabus and programme; Festival results are shown on this website. All records are destroyed three months after the completion of the Festival.

Submitting a signed entry form constitutes acceptance of this practice.  Any queries in this respect should be directed in the first instance to the General Secretary.

Child Protection
The Festival’s Child Protection Policy and our new approach to Creating Safer Festivals for Everyone is published on this website, in our hard-copy Syllabus and in our Programme.  This includes the very latest best practice recommendations from the British and International Federation of Festivals, working in partnership with the NSPCC and Children England under the SafeNetwork banner.

Please note that by completing and signing an Entry Form, Parents/Guardians/Carers/Teachers of entrants under 18 (or vulnerable adults of any age) confirm that they give (or have obtained) the necessary consents for the entrants to take part in the Festival.
